Pictures of me!

Finally, something that everyone has been waiting for...pictures of me! I mean, isn't this what my blog is all about? My mommy keeps posting all the stuff that she does and what she likes but I think it's time to focus on me for a minute...

Here is a picture of me from when I was about 24 weeks "old". My mommy and daddy had to go down to Sacramento and see a specialist about me because of some medical conditions my mommy has so I got a lot of extra care at the office in Sacramento.

This picture is why we know that my name is Landon and not Emily!

My dad's new wheels...

When my mommy and daddy learned that I was coming along they knew they had to get a new car...Daddy had a 2001 Ford Mustang that looked really cool and drove really fast but just wasn't big enough for all my entourage of things that I'll need. My mommy and daddy looked around and priced everything and settled on a Nissan Maxima...it's a very hip looking baby mobile I tell you I can't wait to ride around in it...

Here is my daddy looking cool in front of his new ride...

I'm thinking that the day will come when they make me wash this...

My daddy looking cool and proud in his new ride...in the parking lot of my grandpa's store!

Another friend of mine...

My mommy's longest friend CC has a little boy who is a year and a half. He's older than me but I know that we're going to be great friends. My mommy and daddy are his Godparents and that means a lot to them. His name is Joseph but my mommy calls him her little Jo Jo Fry...I'm not sure why but I hope she doesn't want to eat him!

Here is Joe at our favorite resturant in Salinas.

He is so smart, he knows how to lock his seat belt...not quite sure how to unlock it but hey, that's what mom and dad is there for right?
This is from another trip to our favorite place, I think it's so funny that he's laughing while my daddy is trying to feed him...

The Salinas Baby Shower

On September 22nd, my mommy best friend CC threw her a wonderful baby shower! It was a Las Vegas themed shower (I think she knows how much fun my mommy and daddy love Vegas) filled with poker chips and playing cards. A lot of daddy's aunts and cousins came down to enjoy good food and great times with friends.

Here is everyone arriving at the shower...I wish I could have seen all the great things that happened at the shower. I did enjoy the food though, through my mom! If you look closely you can see my friend Joesph in the background, I can't wait to play with him.

Here is a picture of the tables. There were poker chips on the table and tons of goodies inside the coin buckets.

Everyone got a deck of cards as a party favor along w/ the hand wipes that the big winners get from the casinos!

Here is the cake that my daddy's aunt and cousin spent laboring over the night before the shower...

Here is my mommy, CC, Kelli, and Lisa all good friends enjoying the food and fun! I can't believe all of this was for me, I can't wait to meet everyone.
Here are some of my presents! I got lots and lots of clothes, I'm going to be one well dressed kid I tell you.

Here is my bouncer that I got from my daddy's aunt. Mommy's friend Sherri says that this item was a must have when my friend Waylon was a little baby.

I don't have my christmas outfit yet but I have my christmas socks! May was nice enough to knit me my own holiday socks so I am going to be looking good this christmas!
Here is my mommy showing off some of the great gifts that I am going to get to wear soon.
Something tells me that I'm going to be a huge sports fan...That's ok I think I'll like sports...
Hmmm, am I going to have a baseball on my butt?
Here is my future Aunt Shelby and my Aunt Christa
Here are a lot of generations...My grandma Linda, my great-grandma Chub, and my great-grandma Glo...wow, some interesting names in this family, I wonder what they'll call me.

My Future Friends...

The other day my mommy and daddy went to their friend Ben and Erika's house and a lot of my future friends are were there. I can't wait until I can play with them all, right now I just get to tag along inside my mommy but in short while I'll get to be playing with all of them...

This is my future friend Colton. We were at his house enjoying his backyard and eating the delicious food his mommy and daddy made.

This is my future friend Waylon. My daddy and his daddy have known each other for a long time, they met when they were both students at San Jose State in 2001. Both our daddy's are Civil Engineers, they're so smart. They also both love sports and play together in a softball team called The Empty Pitchers.

Here's my friend Waylon. He looks like he's deep in thought...maybe he's wondering where I'm at? No, I think he was checking out all the pretty girls at the bbq.

Here's my friend Colton getting his dinner. I know that Colton and are going to be great friends because he LOVES to eat and I think I will too. My mommy always says that she's never seen a little guy eat as much as he does. My mommy got to babysit him the other day and she said she had so much fun because he kept making her laugh while he was eating.

Here's my friend Colton during his dinner, he was enjoying his hamburger and fruit.

Here's my buddy Waylon playing on one of Colton's toys. My mommy was laughing because he liked looking at his reflection in the sliding glass door. I think he's going to try and start walking soon.

Here are Waylon and Colton enjoying the same great toy. They had so much fun playing with this toy I hope my mommy and daddy buy me one that is like this toy so I can have as much fun as they had.

Waylon's mommy Sherri put my friends on their cool ride together. I think they look like they're having a great time...Wait guys, wait for me!

And now it's my turn...

My mommy and daddy got married in July of 2003 and spent the next 3 1/2 years enjoying their time in Phoenix and each other. In November of 2005 daddy got a great job opportunity through his friend Ian which brought us back to California. Mommy and daddy bought a house, adopted another dog and enjoyed their new life in California. They went out with their friends, visited friends and family and thought about adding on to their family. In December of 2006 mommy and daddy decided that they wanted to add to their family and they found out they were expecting me in late March of 2007! I'm due to make my arrival on December 4th but I'm measuring ahead so we'll see how that goes!

My Mom's Obsession...

Yes, that is the wonderful team known as the Phoenix Suns. Some people like football, or baseball and that's wonderful but my mommy knows her basketball and she's all about the Suns. She lives and breathes basketball November to April during the regular season and then sweats out the playoffs because they usually don't go in her favor. My mommy talks to me about the Suns all the time, tells me how they are the best team in the NBA and she's my mommy so I know she's a smart lady...I believe her and can't wait to cheer them on this season. My mommy says that this season can finally be their season as long as there aren't anymore refs fixing games and evil that is known as the Spurs aren't up to their cheating ways.

During the 2007 playoffs the Spurs decided that the only way they were going to win the series was to cheat and cheat they did...Here is Roberty Horry sending Steve Nash into the scorer's table at the end of game 4 of the playoffs. My mommy says she's so glad that I never had to witness the awful incident during that game.

This is Steve Nash-Point Guard and two time MVP...He sports the #13 and did his college years at Santa Clara State. My mommy says it's hard to choose your favorite players when they're all so amazing but Nash would probably have to be my mommy's favorite.

This is Leandro Barbos #10 and my mommy's second favorite player. He is currently the sixth man of the year for the NBA and Steve Nash's back up. My mommy thinks he's an awesome player with great potential and should stay w/ Phoenix for a long time.

This is Raja Bell #19 and a Guard for the Suns. Great player and my mommy says he'll always be knowns for the "clothesline" incident againsty Kobe...I don't even know what a clothesline is yet...

This is shawn Marion #31 and a Forward. He's been on the Suns roster the longest.

This is Amare Stoudemire #1 who plays Center. Also known as STAT he was Rookie of the year, beating out Yao for the title.

My Big Brother

This is my big brother Double. His full name is Double-Down "the matrix"...I'm so glad my parents used their weird names on the dog and not on me!

Here is my brother watching over the house...he is such a good watch dog.

This is Double doing his I'm a good doggie face...My mom and dad know the truth but they usually cave in because how can you say not to a face like this???

My parents addictions...

Some people might call it an addiction but my mom and dad just call it a good time...Vegas and gambling!!! My mom and dad have been to vegas more than anyone else they know. All of their big moments have happened in vegas. They went to Vegas when my mom turned 21 (and my grandpa turned 50), when my dad asked my mom to marry him, for their honeymoon, on their first wedding anniversary and many other times with friends. My dad loves to play poker and both my mom and my dad like playing blackjack but it's not usually good to them they say. My mom has been playing a lot of Pai Gow when they go to Reno instead because her money lasts longer that way.

This is where my mom and dad stayed on their honeymoon. They had so much fun the week of their anniversary, relaxing at the pool and eating wonderful food.

The Bellagio is where my dad proposed to my mom. He said he wanted to go watch the water show at the Bellagio and instead of watching the water show he got down on one knee and proposed! Of course she said yes!!!

This picture was taken at the Venetian hotel and Casino where my mom and dad watched the people riding the gondalas on their honeymoon. I think there may have been a wedding or two that they saw that week.

This picture is my mom's favorite picture. It was taken during their honeymoon at the New York New York. One of the reason why my mom loves this picture is because she has a picture of the two of them in the exact same place taken on her 21st birthday trip to Vegas (my mom and dad's first trip together).

My parents journey...

My mom and dad met while they were going to school at Hartnell Community College. My mom was sitting in her uncomfortable seat in her Ethnic music class (to fulfill a requirement) only to find this tall guy staring down at her and says, "Are you left-handed? I'm left-handed and I don't write like that, you write really weird"...wow, music to a girls ear I think she said. I will definately need to go to my dad when it's time to talk to the ladies because it worked. After becoming friends and seeing my dad transfer to San Jose State my parents started dating.

Here are my mom and dad on a vacation with my grandparents during a snow trip to ring in 2002...I wasn't even a thought at this time...

Landon-The Smallest Suns Fan

Welcome to Landon's Blog!!

I didn't think anyone would want to view a blog of a baby that isn't born yet but my mom's friends (Sherri and Erika) has convinced her to make one of the journey to my arrival. I'm not due to arrive until December 4th but there has been plenty of talk about my upcoming arrival. I'm excited that I'll be born early into the 2007-2008 basketball season so I can finally see the Phoenix Suns make their way to becoming NBA champions. I have heard my mom talking plenty about how they're the best basketball team in the NBA and for a short while it was rumored that I was to be named Nash; however, my daddy quickly vetoed that name (He's a Spurs fan, which explains it all).
